Keywords: A very important aspect of the topic of spiritual warfare is learning to live and rest in the spiritual strength of God. While we are called to fight, we are to do so in his strength and not our own. Often, in the midst of conflict, it is hard for us humans to know where one ends and the other begins. Often after a rather intense spiritual battle, we feel exhausted and need to be refreshed. omer, the Greek poet, is known for two great works: The Iliad, the mythical the story of the Trojan War, and The Odyssey, the mythical tale of the journey home of Odysseus, the commander of the Greek forces. The Iliad covers just a few weeks, but The Odyssey is about a ten-year journey. The meaning is powerful, as many of the soldiers in our church can testify, that after intense warfare, it may take us a long time to find our way home again in our hearts and souls. he same is true for spiritual warfare: we often need time to inwardly become whole again. I believe there is some grace for us in this area, for even Christ, who committed no sin, after his temptation was "attended to" by angels. Wise Christians not only have a courageous heart, but also a wise mind, and they seek out the strength and the healing of God in their hearts and lives. They learn to stand in the strength of God and to rest in his power. - Pastor David Packer
