Keywords: What a story! The conversion of Paul was a miraculous event – the persecutor of the church, breathing out murderous threats, is confronted by the risen Christ on a journey of persecution. While going to arrest others for their faith in Christ, Paul was arrested by Christ. However this arrest was not to enslave him, but to liberate him from his hatred and release him for a life of purpose and witness.

Every conversion, regardless of the circumstances, is a miracle of God. Christ said that no one can come to him unless he is first drawn by the Father (John 6:44). These three ingredients – a needy person, a seeking Savior, and a faithful witness – are true about each salvation experience. Christ said to his disciples, "You did not choose me, but I chose you to go and bear fruit – fruit that will last" (John 15:16).

God will be faithful to his promises. Our responsibility as faithful witnesses has at least three major parts. First, we should pray that the Lord moves in the lives of people on this earth. We can do nothing without God. Second, we should be faithful to live the Christian life. This means not just to avoid doing bad things, but to be exemplary people – to be kind, loving, joyful, patient, disciplined, responsible, gracious, wise, considerate, and helpful. Third, that we are faithful to believe and share the Christian message, that Christ died for our sins according to Scripture and rose from the grave.
