Keywords: With the growing news about the spread of the coronavirus there has been a spirit of concern in the air. Though information about the seriousness of the virus is still being gathered, and there is much at this point that we do not know, there are several things that we do know.

First, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), we know that the common symptoms are respiratory problems, including fever, cough, shortness of breath, and breathing difficulty. Second, we know that the disease has spread very quickly, with more than 80,000 people infected at present. Third, we also know that approximately less than 5% of those infected have not survived.

We also know how to prevent catching the disease. According to WHO: "Standard recommendations to prevent infection spread include regular hand washing, covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, and thoroughly cooking meat and eggs. Avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing."

During this time we are making the following suggestions: First, if you have a fever or cold-like symptoms, please stay home. Second, be sure to wash your hands and be sensitive about shaking the hands of others. Third, wearing surgical masks to church is absolutely okay. Respect one another's concerns and be wise in your own actions. Let me assure our parents that all of our nursery and children workers will abide by these rules.
